The aim of the investigation is to study the assessment possibilities of spermatogenesis after acute hypobaric hypoxia using cytomorphological investigation of spermary tissue.

Materials and Methods. The experiments were carried out on 50 mature male non-pedigree white rats weighing 230–250 g. Acute hypoxia was simulated in flow low-pressure chamber.

Conclusion. Cytomorphological investigation of spermary tissue enables to state that after acute hypobaric hypoxia there occur marked changes of spermary cell structure, the number of all cell populations of seminiferous epithelium decreases, including Sertoli cells and Leydig cells. It is indicative of serious disorders of spermatogenesis.
