Chemolasertherapy of Patients with Infiltration Pulmonary Tuberculosis: Assessment of Cytokine Status, Immediate and Long-term Results of Treatment
The aim of the investigation is to study the characteristics of cytokine status dynamics, immediate and long-term results of treatment of patients with infiltration pulmonary tuberculosis, who underwent low intensive laser therapy in complex therapy.
Materials and Methods. There have been studied treatment results of 35 patients with infiltration pulmonary tuberculosis, who underwent laser radiation, and 14 patients without laser therapy. There have been analyzed the dynamics of interferon-gamma concentration, tumour-alpha and interleukine-8 necrosis factor in blood plasma before the treatment, after 1.5 months of treatment, after 2.5–3 months of treatment and before discharge. Long-term results of treatment have been assessed in 23 patients of the main group and 10 patients of the control group.
Results. Against the background of treatment of patients with infiltration pulmonary tuberculosis there is observed the decrease of cytokinemia level, the most marked in the patients of the main group. When using laser therapy, bacterioexcretion discontinues, breaking cavities are closing, clinical recovery occurs more often and earlier, and the residual changes are less expressed.
