A Method of Frontal Inclination Angle Test of Pelvic Component of an Endoprosthesis

The aim of the study is to develop a method to determine a projection angle of frontal inclination of pelvic component of an endoprosthesis.

Materials and Methods. There has been made an experimental study using roentgenometry. Acetabular components of endoprostheses of different manufacturers have been tested.

Results. A new X-ray angle metric index of frontal inclination of pelvic component of endoprostheses of different modifications is suggested. It enables to determine a frontal inclination angle of pelvic component of an endoprosthesis. The index corresponds to a true one and does not depend on design features of an endoprosthesis.
