The aim of the study is to assess the possibilities of optical coherent tomography (OCT) use to optimize the verification of “minor forms” of external endometriosis in laparoscopy.

Materials and Methods. 100 patients were involved in the study carried out in the Gynecology Department of Railway Clinical Hospital, Gorky station, “Russian Railways”. OCT investigations were performed in the course of a routine laparoscopy. There were used a laparoscope (Olympus Winter & Ibe GmbH, Germany) and OCT apparatus (“high-speed” modification of “ОКТ-1300У» (Institute of Applied Physics of RAS, LLC “Biomedtech”, N. Novgorod)).

Results. OCT images of “minor forms” of external endometriosis were analyzed, its OCT signs being revealed, which can be used if objective verification of the diagnosis is required, when the diagnosis cannot be confirmed histologically.
