Regulatory Role of Endothelium and Some Aspects of Pharmacotherapy Effect on its Function
There has been demonstrated the role of endothelium in regulating vascular tone, hemostasis, immune response, in factor synthesis, inflammation and their inhibitors. The effect of epithelial dysfunction on cardiovascular system has been assessed. There have been considered some poorly studied aspects of pharmacotherapy effect on epithelial function: pharmacological protection of endothelium in patients with chronic renal failure and in patients undergoing hemodialysis; the influence of iron preparations used for iron deficiency anemia therapy; the effect of various gestagens on epithelial dysfunction in patients with endometrial hyperplasia.
