There have been considered the correlation problems of salivary gland diseases with accompanied general pathology. The causes predisposing to salivary gland diseases have been given. There have been described the advantages and disadvantages of various diagnostic techniques as well as the principles of treatment of the main forms of the diseases: sialoses and sialoadenites.
