The Experience of Using Computer System Florida Probe for Periodontal Inflammatory Diseases Diagnosis
The aim of the investigation was to assess the application efficiency of computer-aided measuring system Florida Probe in dental examination of patients.
Materials and Methods. 125 patients aged 18–80 years were examined using Florida Probe system. To improve the results of the examination there were determined the values of the following indicators: РМА index, tooth angiostaxis and mobility.
Conclusion. Measuring system Florida Probe improves the efficiency of treatment of patients with periodontal inflammatory diseases assisting a dentist to receive more exact measurement results, and save the examination time. The results are displayed and can be printed in the forms of tables for a doctor to observe the changes in the course of the disease and motivate a patient to carry out reasoned individual oral hygiene.
