About Journal

Journal “Sovremennye tehnologii v medicine” [“Modern Technologies in Medicine”] has been published since 2009 by Privolzhsky Research Medical University (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Editor-in-Chief is N.N. Karyakin, MD, DSc.

The aim is to demonstrate quick growth of medical science due to innovations in molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, computer technologies realized in radically new approaches to diagnostics and treatment.

The scope is to provide information communication between fundamental research in new medical technologies and practical medicine.

“Sovremennye tehnologii v medicine” [“Modern Technologies in Medicine”] is a peer-reviewed quarterly scientific and practical journal that publishes the results of complex experimental and clinical studies — original technologies/methods that reveal the mechanisms of various processes in the body, as well as reviews in the field of fundamental developments in physics, chemistry, and biology with a biomedical focus.

Manuscripts are assessed by two reviewers among whom there are scientists of Privolzhsky Research Medical University and other medical institutions of Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Kirov, Yaroslavl, Samara, Saransk, Volgograd. Peer review is double blind.

The publication is available in hard copy in Russian, with an English summary; and in electronic form in two versions: full-text articles in Russian and English. These can be freely accessed on the journal website.

According to the decision of the Presidium of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated March 30, 2020, “Modern Technologies in Medicine” was included into the List of leading peer-viewed journals and editions, where there are to be published main research findings of dissertations to obtain doctoral degree and the degree of Candidate of Science.
