There have been summarized current data on the effect of various arterial pressure values on prognosis and survival rate of patients undergoing program dialysis treatment. High systolic pressure exceeding 180/90 mm Hg and low pressure — less than 110 mm Hg both before and after hemodialysis have been shown to increase the risk of cardiovascular mortality, and high pulse pressure (over 70 mm Hg) increases reliably the mortality in dialysis patients.
